The Kathy Sweeney Lowe (KSL) Foundation held the KSL Cup, an annual golf fundraiser at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis, on 3 February. Proceeds are donated to benefit education for underprivileged Nevisian children. This year, the event saw its most successful turnout with 40 participants, mostly returning Four Seasons homeowners coming together once again after the winter months. This year’s tournament included the Christophe Harbour sales crew as new participants and Thomas, Martin, David, and Maria joined forces for a day on the greens to support the event’s cause. On Thursday, 8 January, Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas announced the people of the twin-island Federation would go to the polls on Monday, 25 January. Dr. Douglas sought a fourth term as Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. In office since 1995, the Labor Party took power from the People’s Action Movement (PAM) who had ruled since 1980. The opposition candidate, Harvard educated lawyer Lindsay Grant has led the PAM since 2000.

This year, Sales Assistant Molly Parnes was in the midst of all the action on the day of the final parade in Basseterre. The Carnival theme this year was Viva Las Vegas, so Molly happily accepted the invitation to participate in the afternoon-long event upon hearing of the glamorous costume consisting of headdress, feathered body suit, and the chance to be adorned head to toe in sparkles and glitter. Molly was part of the Inferno St. Kitts Troupes, composed of three small troupes; Molly was assigned to the ShowGirls troupe, dressed in all white.
