The RORC Caribbean 600 brings sailing legends to St Kitts

Last week, we were lucky enough to witness some serious racing yachts in the waters around St Kitts participating in the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s (RORC) Caribbean 600. One of the great 600nm ocean race challenges, along with the Rolex Fastnet Race and the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race, the Caribbean 600 (running 22 February to 26 February this year) sees participating yachts circumnavigating 11 Caribbean islands, starting at ending in Fort Charlotte, English Harbour, Antigua, taking in places like St Maarten, Guadeloupe, Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, Saba and St Barths.

Customs House signals new era at Christophe Harbour Marina

A new era was launched on Tuesday, 3rd November, 2015, when top government officials in St. Kitts and Nevis, led by the country’s Governor General, joined the developers of the Christophe Harbour community, for a historic ground breaking ceremony, to herald the official  start of construction of the Customs House.

The facility signalizes the first phase of the marina village and will accommodate the customs and immigration services at the Marina at Christophe Harbour, situated on the Southeast Peninsula of this gem of a Caribbean island, St. Kitts. A crew lounge, fitness centre, services for yachting guests, real estate sales along with marina services have been incorporated into the design.
