The Kathy Sweeney Lowe (KSL) Foundation held the KSL Cup, an annual golf fundraiser at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis, on 3 February. Proceeds are donated to benefit education for underprivileged Nevisian children. This year, the event saw its most successful turnout with 40 participants, mostly returning Four Seasons homeowners coming together once again after the winter months. This year’s tournament included the Christophe Harbour sales crew as new participants and Thomas, Martin, David, and Maria joined forces for a day on the greens to support the event’s cause. The 2010 tournament, a nine-hole, four-team, best-ball scramble, featured a shotgun start with players fanning out to their starting holes. The day showed off a typically brilliant blue sky and sunshine while a light breeze kept both players and spectators refreshed. And, though there was no hole-in-one that day, there were plenty of birdies to keep everyone enthused.
The low score of four under brought in this year’s winning team. After the presentation of the cup to the champions, the crowd headed to Chrishi Beach Bar in Cades Bay to nosh on island delicacies and celebrate the success of a worthy event.
Simon Lowe, Kathy’s brother who hosts the event, was very pleased to accept a donation of $1,000 U.S. dollars from Christophe Harbour.
