Park Hyatt Construction Underway

It's an exciting time at Christophe Harbour as we are excitedly watching the superyacht marina taking shape along with the much-anticipated Park Hyatt St. Kitts hotel at Banana Bay. This hotel will be the first Park Hyatt in the Caribbean region. 

Construction of the hotel is underway with visible progress on the quintessentially Caribbean beachfront site. Work is underway on 11 of the 26 buildings, including the reception and meeting facilities, that will comprise Park Hyatt St. Kitts. Vertical structures are rising and the structure of the first building will be completed by mid-August. Construction is progressing on schedule, and we are stil anticipating a December 2015 soft opening.

New Offerings + Construction Progress = Sales Success

In early June, Christophe Harbour’s newest amenity, SALT Plage, opened on the shore of Whitehouse Bay. Designed by Christophe Harbour’s Director of Architecture, John Denton Haley, and built by RAZO construction, the entire development of the beach bar took less than 9 months from conception to grand opening.

Marina Taking Shape at Christophe Harbour

Just a few short weeks after the groundbreaking ceremony that officially launched construction, the Christophe Harbour marina is taking shape right before our eyes! 

The Christophe Harbour team along with American Bridge and Devcon are making swift progress with the goal of delivering the first megadock at the end of this year. 

Since the construction team arrived onsite, we've dredged 115,000 cubic yards of dirt from the pond, which is being used to form the land for the lower golf holes along the perimeter of the harbour. 50% of the sheetpiling has been installed along the shoreline, and the piling for the main walkway has been driven. Construction Progress at Ocean Grove Villas

The Bennett Hofford Construction team is making significant progress at the Ocean Grove Villas site at Christophe Harbour. Five units are currently under constrution and another five are slated to begin very soon. Roofing is nearing completion as the rafters are in place and wallaba shakes are being installed. Block and stonework continues and exterior decks are being constructed.

SALT Plage is Open

Start with sugar, add salt, the sand and sea. From its shoreline vantage point on Whitehouse Bay, SALT Plage glows as the sun sets. Christophe Harbour’s newest seaside bar incorporates retooled remnants of historic sugar and salt industries in St. Kitts. The effect is scenery and elements that look familiar, but somehow feel new.

Open to the public, SALT Plage is already a draw for Christophe Harbour residents and guests, yachting visitors (dock tenders are welcome at the 1,450-square- foot pier), and locals from St. Kitts and Nevis. Throughout the twin islands and well beyond, there’s a buzz about this venue’s look and energy.
