Held in the island’s capital, Basseterre, the festival displayed a sensational collection of music and culture that brought together not only residents of St. Kitts and neighboring islands, but people from all corners of the earth.
The four day festival hosted world renowned artists and local artists alike, creating a flavorful buzz of music that makes this festival truly unique. Top performances by UB40’s Ali Campbell, Fantasia, Bunny Wailer of the former Bob Marley and the Wailers, and Gyptian had locals and visitors on their feet until sunrise. Other world-class performances, such as Jah Cure, Cocoa Tea, Martin Priest, The Commodores, and Yellowman wowed the crowds with their diverse mix of R&B, jazz, hip-hop, reggae, gospel, and contemporary styled music.
We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the highly anticipated 16th annual St. Kitts Music Festival next year! As they say, it just keeps getting better and better.
