The St. Kitts Music Festival is Music to our Ears

The St. Kitts Music Festival is an explosion of Caribbean musical culture. Major international stars bring reggae, soca, calypso, gospel, R&B, and more to Basseterre's Warner Park Sporting Complex from Thursday, June 28 to Saturday, June 30.

Six-time Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton will headline the upcoming Festival. The lineup also includes Roberta Flack, Damian Marley, Courtney Pine, Omarion, Machel Montano, Morgan Heritage, Krosfyah, I-Octane, and Popcaan. Chairman of the Promotions Sub-Committee, Lester Ible says, “This promises to be one of the best Music Festival we have had in years...our activities reflect the energy of the Sweet 16 St. Kitts Music Festival.”

While we here at Christophe Harbour have a great many people to thank for protecting St. Kitts' stunning, natural environment, the Dermochelys coriacea reserve their heartfelt gratitude for Dr. Kimberly Stewart, of the St. Kitts Turtle Monitoring Network.

Following a grant from the Christophe Harbour Foundation, Dr. Stewart and her team have worked diligently to educate our beach cleaning crews and landscape staff on the habits and habitats of the island’s sea turtles. The St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network (SKSTMN) is a nonprofit organization that studies nesting populations and advocates for the strengthening of sea turtle protection laws. Christophe Harbour Foundation Celebrates Four Years of Giving Back

Established in 2008, The Christophe Harbour Foundation is a charitable organization intent on funding community outreach projects in St. Kitts and Nevis. Designed to strengthen the social, physical, cultural and natural environment, the Foundation supports conservational, educational, recreational, cultural, historical and social development projects that enhance the natural environment and lives of the people.

In the last four years, the non-profit initiative has donated nearly $200,000 USD to a variety of organizations and events throughout the Federation, including Special Olympics St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Christopher Children’s Home, St. Kitts Heritage Society, National Trust, Advancement of Children Foundation, St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network, and more.

Re-Dedication of Bradshaw Youth Center continues a vision

The Rt. Excellent Sir Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw willed this building to the nation. In 1995 it was dedicated to its present cause of serving as a child care center. In keeping with Sir Bradshaw's vision, Dr. Denzil Douglas said, "I want to thank [Christophe Harbour] for the significant contribution that you have made to ensuring that the dream of our First national Hero is kept alive in the contribution in refubishing of this building."

CSSKNSI Donates Patrol Vehicle to Police

The vehicle is a 2011 Toyota Fortuner expected to be put into official patrol rotation as part of an initiative to keep St. Kitts safe. Christophe Harbour COO LeGrand Elebash made the Transfer of Keys to Police Commissioner C.G. Walwyn. Also, on hand was Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas and Mr. Bill Hughson, president of the Healthcare Group for DeVry Inc., parent company for Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. 

The CSSKNSI, representing several local organizations, was estabilished to promote unity and advocate change and progress for safety and security within the Federation.
